Just wanted to post a recipe for one of my favorite smoothies. This is a twist on a smoothie recipe from Brendan Brazier's book The Thrive Diet. It's great for recovery after a hard workout or race and has tons of antioxidants for any day that you're feeling a little low on oomph!
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1 cup almond milk (or other milk)
1 TBSP chia seeds (little wonder seeds) or 1 TBSP ground flaxseeds
1 TBSP agave nectar
1 TBSP hemp oil (not necessary, but it's good to add)
1 serving of your favorite protein powder
4-5 ice cubes
Put all ingredients in good blender (I have a VitaMix and it rocks!) and blend until smooth. Add a little water if it's too thick.
