That actually made tears well up in my eyes. What an amazing thing for you to have done for that woman. I really don't know very many people, myself included, who have even considered doing that. I've learned a big lesson from your story and hope that someday I can do something like that for someone else. I hate that I am the person who has to introduce some caution to my E and I try to do so very carefully so as not to remove her willingness to explore and fly.

At my last event, I learned that encouraging others through an act of compassion was more important to me than place. There was a woman who was clearly struggling and I witnessed her tearing up because her fear that she was going to be the last one across the line appeared to be coming true as the field was passing her by (I'd heard her before the start confess this fear to her friend). I slowed up significantly, started walking and without saying a word to her, just let her pass me by. I just couldn't let her be last on her first ever event. I heard her talking to her friends later that she "wasn't last!". I felt so happy about that. I hope she continued to participate in events.Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16928801357264791430noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3329297268322978087.post-20993038494779093272012-03-18T20:32:58.000-04:002012-03-18T20:32:58.000-04:00Hey Heidi...thanks for reading!!
